Want to do something extra special for your hubby? I’ve made a list of how to make your husband’s Father’s Day Special this year.
With Father’s Day right around the corner, it’s time to start making plans to surprise the man you love.
Aside from the expected gift and Father’s Day card, it’s always nice to do a little something extra for your man on the day that celebrates him.
Father’s Day is a fantastic chance to honor the man who has invested so much time, energy, and heart into the family.
Besides, any chance to build up your man and your marriage is time well spent.
I’ve outlined a few ideas of things you can do for your husband on Father’s Day.
Start The Day Off Right
Talk to the kids the day before, let them know you will be waking them up early to make dad breakfast in bed.
Help the kids make his favorite breakfast food, put it on a serving tray, and have the kids deliver it to him in bed with a homemade card.
All about Dad
Since Father’s Day is all about Dad, carve out some time in the day and go for one of his favorite family outings. Whether it’s a hike with the family, fishing, playing water volleyball in the pool, or just going for a bike ride around the neighborhood.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Pick a spot in your home and arrange several photos of dad and the kids together. Make a Father’s Day collage!
A Video Of the Kids Praising Dad
Take a video of your kids answering a short questionnaire about dad. Such as, what his favorite thing to do is, who he admires, something he always says, what he likes to eat, etc.
End it with them saying what they love most about their dad. The video can be something he can treasure and look back on for years.
Pay attention to what he has been saying or admiring for the past few months.
If you notice him saying something is cool or it would be nice to have something, take note.
Put it in your notes so you remember things he’s mentioned.
It would be a nice surprise to wake up on Father’s Day morning and have that thing you’ve wanted without even asking for it.
Do Dad’s Chores
The kids can help do some chores dad wants to be done. Such as, wash his truck, clean the grill, clean out the garage, etc.
Dad is sure to feel loved by taking the time and effort to do something he would want done.
Sit Around A Fire
I don’t know about you but I know my husband loves to sit outside in the evening with a fire.
So make that fire for him. Get everything together to roast his favorite roasting food on the fire. Spend a few extra minutes in the evening making his day special.
End The Night With A Bang
Arrange to put the kids to bed early, light some candles, and give him a massage thanking him for all the hard work he puts in daily.
Now that you have some ideas on how to make your husband’s Father’s Day extra special this year. Choose one or two of these ideas and let me know how they go, I’d love to hear from you.
